Registration, insurance, and licensing.
Shipping for parts.
Transport to start, including vehicle shipping from the lower 48.
The Rig
Anything you can get ahold of that will not break the budget, and that you're confident enough will not leave you stranded. The purchase price has to be realistic. Getting your cousin to sell you their C4 Corvette for $500 will be considered an act of douchebaggery and will be penalized. Prep however you want, but any non-safety modifications will count toward your $3907 budget. Including a trade into the purchase of your vehicle will add the cost of the trade to your budget.
Sell stuff on your car? Congrats, you just made some money back. You can not use that money to increase your budget. Vehicles must be registered and insured. You are only allowed one vehicle per team. Transporting the vehicle any other way than under its own power and 4+ wheels is not allowed. There will be an inspection before the event begins and receipts will be tallied up. If your vehicle breaks down, you can sell it for a ride back.
If you have parts laying around that you want to use toward your rig, then contact the event organizer. We will use car-part.com for estimating the cost of your part/engine to go towards your budget.
